What are your art requirements?

Last Updated: Sep 08, 2015 11:22AM EDT
Great question! Here are a few quick notes:
  • We prefer files outlined in vector in the form of .ai, .pdf, or .eps.
  • With image files, please ensure the image is at least 150 ppi (pixels per inch) at actual print size.
  • PNG or images with transparent backgrounds work best.
  • Typically, jpegs don't work - the resolution is not high enough to print clearly.

Our artwork page here outlines our requirements as well!

More information on vector files

Low res jpgs and gifs are called "raster" or "bitmap files." When a low res file is kept small, it looks just fine. But when enlarged, each pixel gets blown up and gives the image a fuzzy look.

Vector files are made up of paths (lines and anchor points) that are more like an engineering CAD drawing. When this type of file is enlarged, each line is mathematically enlarged in exact proportion so there is no pixelating or distorting. This makes vector files ideal for printing.
